Military Moschino

Last semester in a fashion class, I had the honors of presenting a project about the infamous Moschino clothing line.  Learning about a company in such detail made me have lots of respect and appreciation for not only the clothing and designer but also for the industry as a whole.  Moschino is an Italian fashion design house consisting of a few unique labels; Moschino (women's and men's main line), Moschino Cheap and Chic (women's secondary line, created in 1988), Love Moschino (women's and men's diffusion line).  Since Moschino came out with apparel, there has always been a consistency within the look.  The way I would describe a piece from any collection is very standard and block coloring with a bit of an exotic touch in a very unique way.  For Moschino's fall 2011 collection, models came out in very masculine military attire with a touch of certain girly accessories such as oversized ruffles and floral head pieces.  Here is just a taste from the Moschino fashion show. Enjoy!

  1. Hi! New here but this caught my eye. I hope you're having a great weekend so far.

Regarding the collection-- Everything is structured and clean, even the ruffles. Nothing is feminine; everything is architectural. You know, I strangely like it.
